I will say though...there's definitely a sizable contingent who do like winter. I mean obviously still the minority, but a lot more than just us weather weenies.

It’s been like another 4” of fluff every 24 hours here and too cold for salt to work most of the time.  Having a longer commute and always having to scrape the car is wearing on people.  I honestly would prefer to get snow all in one big dog event followed by blue sky compared to this.  This is still more fun than boring and gray.

These stat padders that vaporize in 2 hours are really not reflective of what has been complete sh*t since mid December

Disagree. It’s going to be below 0 with more salt on the roads than snow on the ground. Hard pass

@beavis1729 I thought of you. This is deep deep winter. A thick drifty blanket of snow outside and I had to postpone a sledding promise to the nephews Saturday because its going to be TOO COLD to play in the snow!

i'm closing in on 30" on the season at home. back at good ole ex-home, there's a few inches on the ground currently.

Milwaukee on possible lake effect

If the meso vort over the southern basin advects a few lake effect
snow bands toward the western coast, there will be a chance for a
couple inches of snow when everything is all said and done. This
would then be multiple hours of LES and lake enhancement.
Southeastern Wisconsin including, Racine, Kenosha, Milwaukee and
maybe eastern Waukesha are the mostly likely areas to be impacted by
any LES or lake enhanced snow. This area is fairly broad, but there
is uncertainty on how far inland this would move. Now the caveat
that comes with any LES system, will it or will it not move inland.
In the event that this all stays off shore this AFD will be for
naught as we may get a dusting from the shortwave trough. On the
other hand if the worse happens and we get multiple LES bands moving
inland, then there could be some decent snow totals. A real hit or
bust forecast.

IWX just issued a Winter Weather Advisory overnight tonight and Tuesday for the areas that got hit with lake effect. It’s to cover the 35 mph gusts that will blow this stuff around. We’re already getting gusts of 25-30 mph and it’s creating whiteout conditions at times. May get a true ground blizzard in rural areas, especially overnight.
