I actually cant believe how cold the post-Xmas period is going to verify versus what models showed several days to a week ago....somehow, we still can't snow very much.

It only snows on South winds and temps of 35°.

Very difficult forecast for PWM. There’s going to be a very narrow area 6”+ amounts with this..

Ugly run. Even misses NYC for the most part.

Its truly incredible how this was rains to the border and two days later, it’s a mid Atlantic snowstorm, completing bypassing New England

You can see the block and 50/50 low pressing further south this run. Not what you want at this stage

Things do suck. Trust me .. even us " POSITIVE POSSE PEOPLE " get frustrated. But, things will change. It only takes that one storm to turn this Shyte of a pattern around. With all the model mayhem and dis-functional crystal balls.... There's no way to know when. But at least there is a glimmer of hope as we head into January and February. There will be opportunities.

Well, I'm willing to wait to see the other 12z models..but it's not much worse than the other models, if at all.

The block will push this to the mid atlantic, but I am sure it won't be there to block the next one that will barrel straight through the lakes....just can't win, lol. I guess I can't complain, I pulled off 1.5" this morning that will most likely be gone by tomorrow.

Now you are really living the ‘80s ….last winter was a small preview since it wasn’t a torch. But so far this year we’ve got well below normal temps and you get to watch the mid-Atlantic snow and then we rain on the next system and then rinse/repeat. That’s almost exactly how it went. Wasn’t that bad of a decade roughly Philly-southward.
