I’ll just say this. I love winter more than anything. This pains me. However, I am getting absolute joy out of watching these clown social media Mets absolutely eat shit with all their “wild times” calls and all the rubbing out to the stratosphere. There is no worse cancer to the field than these clowns.

Had this been snow, would have made for some good early season riding. Some serious fog on our hill when I left for the gym at 630. Up to 46F, 0.12". Already a couple downpours. Sucks, but pretty numb to it anymore

Especially Moregarbage....he kept pointing out the 4 members of the EPS that supported a reversal around Xmas like 2 weeks ago, and was like "models are beginning to come around to the SSW I expect around Xmas". I replied something to the effect..."zero chance. Wait for February".

It goes right up my tailpipe. In this field you are supposed to be honest and convey what you see/think. Not what your heart desires or what drives clicks. All it does is damage the integrity of the profession. It’s already under fire as it is.

Agreed. But usually if there’s a refreeze the morning before temp/td spike you can get some resistance out of the pack. No chance if it’s been thawing for 24+ hours, as will be in this case.

Social media killed a lot of stuff…meteorology is just one aspect, unfortunately It’s a cancer.  There are a couple(a select few) who aren’t too bad.  But the hype is f’n silly. But that’s what the general public want…they know no better, so it’s what grabs them.  Hopefully Ryan can find a niche by being up front and honest as he’s trying to do.

Likely already discussed but I didn't really love the 6z Euro Op. It did seem like it cooled slightly for Christmas however, with some flurries possible?  Though good to hear the AI looked better. Let's start getting some better improvements across the board at 12z.
