I vaguely remember driving home from school on a few snowy occasions that year when our usually stubborn superintendent waited until the last minute to let us out early. That must’ve been one of those wild storms where me and a few others spun out at least several times just trying to get out of the school parking lot. Thanks for helping unlock a fun memory from my crazy senior year.

that was a wild storm.  many people were stranded hours even didn't make it home. ..I had a 2wd but manual 2006 Toyota Tacoma that made it.   I was smelling gears and etc up from Cambridge to Arlington on route two,  it was a crazy trek.  I barely made it up that hill; could see people behind me not making it but I could not stop because I would lose it

took 1 hr. 45 min. to go from Watertown MA to Wilimington.  Drove past dozens of vehicles that were far more equipped but don't know how to drive :D

I get out in the weather a few times a day, the dog certainly aids that endeavor, it's been a cold December.   Still 75% snow cover of at least 3" here and it hasn't snowed in two weeks.

you didn't get any from the last event?

Where the hell do we sign for that! Would be epic.. Not big enough to ruin Christmas, but just enough to put all of SNE another a solid pack of snow with snow falling on both Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Please, please, please

Lets keep those systems away from Christmas day! Get that Eve wave in early, and keep the second one for Christmas night! We're having our first big family GTG in a while and don't want people to cancel. Shit, I'll fill up the Power Wagon and drive them myself LOL

Ya drive them yourself…let the snow come. We beggars..we need anything we can get :snowing:.  Fire up the Ram!

If I had a hundo for every time I heard that! But,  I did see it happen... ONCE haha. I actually have it on video somewhere, probably about 1987. Golf ball flakes for about 10 minutes, about how long the old video recorders could hold a charge lol

Gotta watch 12/23-24 too for a little disturbance. Obviously there’s the Xmas day threat too but not every model agrees on timing.

At first look it seems the Euro and GFS are far apart, but they really aren't. Seems the GFS is sensing more of a cold press. That seems to be the theme this season so far, mute the warm ups

Gonna see a lot of guidance changes in the day or two IMHO for next week…you have that pig ridge in the central CONUS but it’s flat and somewhat zonal so little disturbances are FLYING across the country in the flow….makes for decent model chaos.

On top of that you have some blocking trying to form in the Atlantic which adds in more uncertainty.

I'm running +7 or +8 month to date here, while Boston is running -7 to -8 month to date...but we've still had more snow than Boston even with less precipitation and a warmer base climate.

Really is a pretty weird pattern this month - everything is a bit off from normal flow and progression.

This sums everything up quite well...snake-bitten era continues. No one is ever going to convince me that this is 100% owed to CC....BS.
