Looks like the wind is back for the next 6 months. Wind and clouds are our strong points. I feel like it's been years since I've seen an all day rain event. This weather is as exciting as watching paint dry.

This is my regular pop-in to say that our area is among the least windy places in the US.

Picked up 0.17" overnight here. It was 55.1 degrees at 7 am, which was the low for the period, not a new 'warm minimum', that still stands from 2005's 58 degree reading. High was 65.6 degrees, also not near a record high as the 72 from 2005 remains. Windy overnight, currently WNW at 16 gusting to 29 mph at 8 am and 53.7/44.7 under mostly cloudy skies.

Things our region actually does well:

Humid in the summer

Warm/wet, cold/dry in the winter

Honestly, we have a great climate. We get a little taste of everything. Nothing too extreme. I've seen lots of blizzards and crippling snowstorms in my 47 years. I've also seen a lot of beautiful weather.

The wind out here today is wild. It's probably gusting to around 40.

Don't look now, but the NAMs want to make it snow Tuesday late afternoon and evening along Mason-Dixon.

Looks like it's leftover scraps from the healthy vort in the Desert SW.  Could be onto something.

I'm game with a few hours of TV Snow. :snowwindow:

I'm inching towards that mode lol.  Give me a month and then I'll be ready, though I'm actually going to be on the west side for a couple weeks from late Dec to early Jan, so I fully expect a nor'easter during that time.
