Some places south and west should have gotten a little more than what's reflected on that map but as I mentioned wins throughout the column effect, it, so it's a little more complicated than that. canderson
Wind kicked in around 3:30 am. Should be strongest from say noon to 4 pm - probably a lot of gusts close to or at 50 given the winds aloft and forcing.

ChescoWx
Happy Halloween! There is a wind advisory in effect till midnight tonight and it will be a bit chillier than normal with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 40's and breezy. So, make sure to dress those trick or treaters accordingly if heading out for some treats. Temperatures for the next week will average close to or a little below normal for the first week of November. That said, while most of our valley spots have had several freezes, here on the higher ridge locales we have still not seen a frost or freeze, and this looks to continue for at least the next week. Our next rain chances look to be possible by Wednesday night.

Tagging along with our daughter, husband and our granddaughter. They live in Florin Hill, last year was our first time out with her (she was 2) and she filled her bucket in about 20 minutes. There is SO much trick or treat potential awaiting in that development tonight. (Pappy just might have a second bucket in reserve to keep the good times rolling a little longer )
canderson
Neighbor is getting a roof done today. Ummmmmmm ok. We every Halloween go to our friends who have a little girl. We do their candy so they can take her around. They get like 400 kids, it’s awesome. Tonight will be pretty miserable unfortunately

Thankfully they held off making a decision until noon yesterday because the night was beautiful. My daughter had a blast, gets to go to her friend's Halloween sleep over tonight, then gets to trick her treat once more Saturday at her friend's house. I'm thankful that the worst of the winds should be gone by trick or treat tonight. Falling branches combined with masses of flesh wearing attire with poor visibility and mobility at night just feels like tragedy in waiting.
