We are bouncing around like the ping pong balls in a lottery drawing.

Im trying to not let bias kick in, but it’s only increased its run to run variability closer to game time and each run differs from consensus drawn by much better models.

Haywood County schools will let out at noon.

Thats a good call for them. I hope others do.

I work in Rutherford County school (AP at East Middle) and over buses. We had a 1 hr delay today (for some reason). Lots of issues even this morning. I hit lots of ICE still around on many roads.

I assume most other counties will do the same

I looked at the mountain point forecast last night and it had -36 degree chills overnight Sat into Sunday at my location.  That is crazy.  It's backed off a tad today, but that was impressive to see.  The bitter chills obviously don't take center stage in these events, but folks need to keep in mind that these will be frigid times in the next few days.  We will have high winds, so power outages could be on the table in spots.  Always be prepared.

Yeah Steve and I were talking last night about this being a 3 phase storm. First you have the snow, then the wind then the bitter cold temperatures.  This is a dangerous weekend here in the mountains.

Temps while we're in the thick of it. These ratios are going to be wild.

Back to back winter storms with temps in the teens just makes my heart happy! Wow what a great week of weather this has been, little to no sleep has been worth it!
