Thru 3 games, the Ravens D is dead last in ypg allowed, 2nd to last in passing yards per game allowed, 3rd to last in rushing ypg allowed, and 2nd to last in ppg allowed. Pretty sure no one expected that thru 3 games even with the front loaded schedule.

Im not a ravens fan, so obvs take this fwiw, but I wouldn’t freak out. The schedule eases going into October and the north isn’t going to be great this year with Burrow being out and the Steelers looking pedestrian again. This is still a team that can go far in the playoffs.

I think they very well could still win the division. But they clearly aren’t able to compete against other playoff caliber teams.

They can still be a top team but there are things that need to change, and one of them is the rigid nature of the coach. The offense is fine and will get better if/when Ricard is back and Likely should be back against the Chiefs. Ofc Mitchell needs to play, but that goes back to my first point. The defense is just awful right now- partly injuries but they were bad before KVN and Madubuike got hurt. Probably wont happen, but I think Pagano should be promoted or have a bigger role in game planning. Looks like Henry might be on the edge of the aging RB cliff.

Also Lamar needs to have a better feel for when to stop trying to buy time to find an open receiver downfield and just throw the ball away or run- several times last night he had a wide open lane to take off and gain significant yardage and ended up taking a sack. His mom will be yelling at him this morning about that.

Ravens have a fumble problem. And since when does Lamar get sacked 6 times?

See my post above. He is very good at moving in the pocket, buying time, extending the play, then hitting a receiver downfield, but there are limits. Got to feel the pressure and run or throw the ball away. On at least 3 of those sacks he could have run and gained yards.

Saw a stat that KOC and the Vikings are 15-3 when he has a ginger starting at QB. Let's hope he keeps that going with Wentz. I'm nervous about JJ Ponder when he gets healthy, he just seems a bit too jittery. I feel bad for the commanders and RG4 but that's the risk with a mobile QB who is super skinny.

I think the absence of Darrisaw was a big factor in how JJM looked the first two weeks.  Darrisaw just completely eliminating Hendrickson from that game was great.

Yeah I saw that. Ofc he isn't going to lay the blame completely on the DC, but the fact is ever since the former DC left to become the HC of the Seahawks, this defense has struggled mightily. They do have some key injuries right now but overall this is a talented group that has underachieved since Orr took over.

Good questions here about what exactly Orr is doing with the defensive calls. Obv some of it falls on the players but the DC has to put them in a position to succeed. They got destroyed in every way against Detroit. There was literally nothing positive to take away from that "effort".

Seattle is now 3-1 with Mike MacDonald as HC.. they were 10-7 last year with Geno Smith QB. Baltimore may have missed an opportunity when they didn't upgrade him to HC after the defense was #1, 2 years ago.

Biscotti values continuity...unfortunately to a fault, smh I mean yeah I know we were technically winning and we had reached the AFC championship, but...oy. (I kinda feel like that did nothing but buy Harbs more time. Like getting deep in the playoffs that year actually made that decision more difficult, smh I'm starting to wish we hadn't gotten that deep, lol

Yeah, if we would have had a mediocre defense 2 years ago, we probably would have gone to the super bowl last year, if not won it (the Eagles were super hot though). smh is right, we've mistimed some key parts. It's actually hard to stay good in the NFL, with high draft picks to bad teams, coaching changes every year, salary cap. The winning formula seems to be a good QB though, which we have.

Remember when the Ravens traded for Marcus Peters, then won 11 games in a row. Imagine winning 11 in a row now, and on paper we seem to have a much better team.. team is slacking these days

Wonder if he's gonna apologize for the "spoiled" comment, lol (I mean I happen to agree with him but it was really, really bad timing)

Yeah that didn't go over well-given how shitty the D has played he was the wrong messenger and at the wrong time.
