Parameters are there for major straight line wind  embedded tstorm this evening.

Another warm day today with temperatures reaching the lower 80's. Showers should for the most part hold off till later today across mainly more western parts of our area. More widespread rain is likely tomorrow into Tuesday morning along with cooler temps. High temperatures are likely not escaping the 60's for higher spots in the counties through Tuesday. Most models are showing between 1" to 2" of beneficial rain across the area by Tuesday morning.

This morning is the best I've felt in 2 weeks. My physician sent my records out to infectious disease and they didn't offer much insight. This is likely going to end without a diagnosis.

Both family members are better. One was better in 48 hours, the other was in and out of care for several days.

Yeah that's what I've been reading. Big-time wind threat, moderate hail and low tornado threat. MU says the winds won't veer enough for more than a weak, isolated spinup.

I love good strong to severe storms. I'm just not into the hail component. We had a hail storm here in Tamaqua a bunch of years back with golf ball sized hail and it did a number on everyone's cars. Some had broken windshields and/or rear windows, but everyone had some good sized dimples.

Storms in MD and WV already have solid hail cores as they advance NE towards the Mason/Dixon.

WPC really slicing rainfall amounts through next week. In the past 48 hours I went from 3"+ down to 1.25".

I'm certainly no ace on the meso analysis but I'm not seeing any storm relative helicity off the charts over harrisburg but LNS dose have higher values atm.

The only thing I can personally say for certain is top water Bass is off the charts atm and im at work. .

Over in Pottsville having dinner and the air feels dry. I expected it to be a bit muggy today, but it doesn't feel like a storm day. At least not right now.

The rotatiing cell that was about to head into Lancaster was in the area of higher helicity values.  That right hand turn I'm sure was aided by storm relative helicity.

It just merged with the larger cell to the west before it could really get its act together.

@Mount Joy Snowman - picked up .61" here from the first round. Nice garden variety thundershower with no wind or hail. Just some much needed rain with a chance of more later.

Observed is probably the wrong word. I would imagine models fill in the gaps of observations or Vice versa.

The rain held off until our party began, and there was never much wind at all to cause any issues. It was absolutely pouring at 10:30 when we broke it up and had to pack a few things up.

Picked up 1.10" of rain since last night here in East Nantmeal. Showers and thunderstorms today before tapering off this evening. Some spots could see between another 0.50" to 1.00" of rain. Much cooler today with temperatures remaining in the low to mid 60s. Showers and cooler temperatures will continue through early Tuesday before we dry out on Wednesday. Rain chances increase again by the end of the new work week.
