Other than some flakes, wonder if we can go the whole month without a dusting.

Its amazing that it doesn't want to snow.  I'm use to getting screwed to my north with rain here but that's not even have been the case.

Weird winter

you're just realizing this now?   It's been +4 to +7 temp wise the WHOLE WINTER.    We are lucky to have gotten anything with a background state that warm.

It will...I know some disagree, which is fine. My view is that we are just stuck in a shit-extra tropical Pacific regime that will eventually prove self-destructive in one way or another. Now, some folks want to shit on me for taking too long to realize that...by all means. I totally own that, but its been educational.

We need a favorable pacific and MJO. Seems like the MJO these days don't want to stay in the favorable phases.

It’s all pac driven. Until that turns favorable, more of the same. The nao is overrated. It can help, sure, and is useful for buckling the flow but when the jet is crashing BN heights into LAX, that never bodes well for us.

Your turn to pick btw…

Exactly

We have been burned with a favorable NAO and unfavorable PNA.

I do think that there is some truth to the fact that this regime is not as favorable as it once was, which has killed me the past two years....also some bad luck, too.

There is def. less margin for error due to CC, but also a higher ceiling.

Shocking .. stunning

I mean it’s not like it’s a major warm signal or anything. There’s still some neg anomalies to our north as well and we know how that can trend at the surface toward T-0.
