Systems south and east...this one is north and east (looks to be working down towards you guys?)...then the next shortwave looks to go south and west and ride the southern tier. I'm so confused by what's going on this winter.

Revracer800 Posted January 17 Just had a huge rumble of thunder here in Hannibal, checked 9wsyr radar and it shows a lightning bolt out over the lake with that band of snow. It was loud very loud.
wolfie09 Posted January 17 New map, not like it matters anymore lol Rgem gave me more liquid then I had frozen
wolfie09 Posted January 17 2" of precip and pulaski picked 0.05" ..lol
wolfie09 Posted January 17 Several disturbances will traverse through a thermal trough that will extend from the Upper Great Lakes across Lake Ontario during the Monday night through Tuesday night time period. Unlike the days leading into this period...a colder airmass with H85 temps of -10 to -12c will certainly support enough instability over the lakes for pure lake effect. This will focus accumulating lake snows east of both lakes. Headlines will likely be needed for this 36 hour period. The trough will push south of Lake Ontario on Wednesday...and with a -15c H85 airmass in place...fairly widespread lake snow showers can be anticipated for the western counties. Ridging Wednesday night with non-diurnal temp trend.
CNY_WX Posted January 17 The snow has picked up quite a bit in intensity in the last half hour, falling moderate to heavy right now. What’s it doing at your house, Matt?

The disco was misleading only if you really wanted snow. Plus, they were wrong with their maps. Disappointments all around. I really thought Wolfe would do well. Snow Ridge is claiming 15” (they probably got about half) and Whiteface is saying 10”. It’s just a shit winter.
