Tide already pretty high here along the south shores of Brooklyn and Queens due to the full (super) moon. Should be even higher tonight/tomorrow with the increasing winds until the winds shift to the NW.

Yeah, I have to work tonight but I am going to Freeport in the morning to get some flooding footage

Looks like moderate tonight in Freeport. With minor to moderate tomorrow. Then close to blowout tide levels with the strong offshore flow on Saturday.

Yeah, it can make for some interesting photos with enough of a blowout. Kind of like Bay of Fundy lite. This guy got some nice photos of a blow out event a while back on the GSB.

Looks like a pretty good slug of heavy rain moving up from the south. It should be moving into the NYC metro within the hour from the looks of the radar.

Already pretty heavy now
