1.7" with some of the heavier snows I've seen of the event so far despite the radar not looking so good here.  Speaking of radar, some real nice returns building near the QC which will move up this way.  Most models give us another 0.10" or so of qpf, so we should end up with another 1.5-2". 

 

EDIT:  DVN 1.2"/MLI 2.6" as of noon.

Putting it down. IWX's forecast of 1.5" may be close. I was figuring on closer to 2".

 

Meanwhile, I 65 strikes again, 40 vehicles involved in the mayhem, this time in Boone County:

Was the visibility the problem?

It seems that stretch of I-65 has more accidents than any other section of interstate in the western Great Lakes.

It's flat and wide open, so any wind exacerbates poor driving skills by Hoosiers in snow.

 

EDIT: It kinda reminds me of the 401 between Windsor and London.
