Some futility numbers:

                                              ALB    NYC    HFD    BOS

Season total:                          7.5*    29.8    15.4    24.0

days with >1" snow depth:        8        11      16        ?

max daily depth:                       2        22       8         ?

2" storms:                                 0          2        3         3

6" storms:                                 0          1        1         3

12" storms:                               0          1        0         0

* ALB lists season total as 8.5" but I believe the 1.5" on 2/9 was an error.  I subtracted 1".

NYC doesn't qualify for "futility" this year. I would be curious as to the BTV numbers other than 25.7 to date on the season.

The BTV numbers are very bad but probably doing better relative to normal than the hills, haha.

You look to be tied with where 2011-2012 was at this time...futility to date is 11.3" in 1893 (but I'm skeptical of that as I think that's the first winter records were kept so who knows).
