A really crumbing afternoon here. Just above freezing, low ceilings, and dampness.

Not a surprise at all... Superior, Huron, and Michigan continuing their below normal trend. Lake Huron not quite as cool as the western Lakes.

Little bit of ice on the Lakes already.

some final stats for the UP... November was a pretty amazing month.

Unreal snow total for Ironwood at almost 90" for the month. Almost no doubt they'll go over 200". Snowfall total at my house was 57" for November and a season total of 63"

Pretty boring as of late... seems to snow an inch, sometimes 2 on a daily basis almost but nothing exciting.

for my area, it's been the coldest and snowiest Nov on record. what a welcome to the UP.

Lots of lake potential still left. Lake running in line with last season, and the cold should ease for a while leaving a long season for Superior's belts

November statistics for YYZ. Averages are in brackets using 1981-2010 climate normals.

Mean High Temperature: 42.2F (45.7F)

Mean Low Temperature: 28.6F (31.4F)

Mean Average temperature: 35.4F (38.6F)

Total precip: 1.72" (2.96")

Total snow: 5.71" (3.12").

Overall the month was about 3 degrees colder than normal, however precipitation was well below normal. Total snowfall including October is now at 6.26" for YYZ. Moreover, November 2014 was a hair colder than November 2013 and saw about 4" more too.

Nice totals, Gaylord had an awesome month as well, I am right there with you for seasonal totals, although we lost most of our snow from the last torch up herenovember(1).pngimage009.png

November finished as the 13th coldest on record for Detroit. While it is extremely impressive to say that in 141 years, 12 Novembers have been colder and 128 have been warmer...it needs to be noted that without the torch day on the 30th, it would have been the 8th coldest on record (whether you do the 30 day period Oct 31-Nov 29 or just Nov 1-29). Total precip of 1.67" was well below normal as the snowfall of 4.0" was well above normal, however neither was close to the top 20 list. MBY finished very close to DTW, with 1.65" precip and 4.1" snow.

For Toronto, this November tied with 1989 as the 5th coldest in 75 years. Annoyingly, our media never refers to the data existing for Toronto going back to 1839, despite its existence.

Hmm..I dont know what dataset your looking at, but both November 1995/1996 were a degree colder than this year. In addition, 1986 was colder than this year too.  So maybe top 10 going back to 1937?

Both 2013 and 2014 featured colder than normal Novembers. A nice change from the really warm Novembers of 2009-2011. 2012 was near average.
