Friday may sneak in a mini torch. I doubt we'll mix all the way to 850mb, but the temp at that level is 10 or 11C. The general synoptic appeal has a COL in the mid levels, with residual surface ridge axis cutting across. RH in the ceiling levels all below 50% ... It all adds up to sun and balminess... MOS looks too cool to me, particularly inland.

What is a COL? Closed Overhead Low?

Eh, most are sleeping through the mins. People remember the highs. I know what you mean though.

This was more impressive relative to normal for you guys anyways. A max of 57F with a few light showers is NBD up here...especially with a min of 55F. I wore shorts all day.

High of 67F up here...pretty decent day overall.

The mid-September cold shot hasn't been touched yet for temps with highs upper 40s to low 50s.

We've been under 5kt all day. I'm ready for a legit cold front to mix this crap out.

Yeah 65/49 and 67/50 has been quite warm...the mins are killing us in this pattern. Normal here is 64/40...so highs have been seasonable but warm mins. Got a hazy look to the sky the past couple days too...ready for a good ol' 65/30 with azure blue skies type days.

ORH basically went 24hrs at the same exact temp of 54F. They briefly touched 55F this afternoon in between obs, but they're 54F again. A range of 1F is pretty impressive.

57/56 at BOS so far so a 1F range there too. I think the best I've managed in 8 years here is 2F.

Heavy dose of blocked flow today. Big difference driving across the spine to and from Stowe. CPV and slopes just socked in with low ceilings and even a little mist all day, while the sun was breaking out and all clouds above mountaintop east of the spine. Clear demarcation on the way out near Bolton on 89.
