I can't believe the winds, and it looks like they could mix down some too. Yeah I suppose it could be one...I don't know if it truly meets criteria without me seeing it first hand, but it helps having that s/w capture it and then go extra-tropical. I remember an offshore hurricane in September of 2010...it produced some of the biggest and most majestic waves I've ever seen. Forgot the name of that hurricane.
