Feb 12-13 Deathband Storm, Obs Part 2

Recommended Posts

NWS out of Baltimore/DC now reporting the highest total so far is 11" in Madison County. Thats two counties west of Fredericksburg or two counties north of Charlottesville.

I figured thats where the highest report would be.. in the Luray/CHO/Culpepper triangle

Enjoy the snow guys. Wish i was back in Orange...they may be one of the sweet spots for this storm.

Meanwhile here in San Antonio, TX, a sunny sky later today at 68*. Friday we should reach 80 easily. Blah!

It is still pouring heavy snow In Dale City. I have 8.6 inches of snow.

LWX predicted 4 to 8 for us tonight. I think they made an excellent forecast. In fact I think that is likely the finest forecast that NWS ever made.  Why, you ask?

Because it means that WE HAVE NOW BUSTED THE CAP! WE HAVE GOT MORE THAN WAS PREDICTED FOR TONIGHT!

This snowstorm is officially an overachiever.

I think these few hours might top the best parts of Dec 09/Feb 10

I'm exceeding the 5-8 inch amounts that Doug K. predicted for me.

Lots of locals busted low on this part.. Not sure why either. Think it was screaming potential. Fortunately for them part 2 will probably fail around here
