I can't understand though how LGA actually went up two degrees to 88 from a previous temp of 86 when all surrounding stations, even Newark, is cooler than 88. I can't understand though how LGA actually went up two degrees to 88 from a previous temp of 86 when all surrounding stations, even Newark, is cooler than 88. The GFS has been consistently showing an average 1000 mB SLP moving along the coast towards Maine with a sledge hammer of rain. The 06Z GFS shows a possible Tropical Storm in the Gulf, then weakening as it heads up towards the NE/MD-ATL, but not much precipitation left. There's an area a dome of 18C+ temps over Central Mid-Atlantic now. The 9z Rap has this area moving over NJ and NYC metro area this afternoon.
