Looks like BTV is going with a general 1-4" snowfall with northern NY and northern VT seeing 3-4".

Zone forecast has 2-4" here with this event.

Near term /until 7 PM this evening/... as of 346 am EST Sunday...water vapor imagery shows a shortwave trough moving across western New York early this morning. This feature is enhancing some light snow...which will move into the area through the morning hours. Drier air over the region initially will help slow the onset a bit...but most locations will see some light snow this morning. Snow accumulations will generally be an inch or less this morning. This feature will exit the area by early afternoon and there will be a brief lull in the light snow until another shortwave trough moves in from the west late in the day and especially tonight. High temperatures today will be a few degrees above normal. && Short term /7 PM this evening through Tuesday/... as of 346 am EST Sunday...dynamic support associated with shortwave trough moving across the area tonight looks to be better than the shortwave this morning. Thus looking at light snow picking up in areal coverage along with a better chance for minor accumulations. Essentially looking at total snow accumulations in the 1 to 4 inch range when all is said and done. Northern New York and the northern half of Vermont look to have the best chance at seeing snow amounts in the 3 to 4 inch range.
