It's too late for a watch at this point. It's warning or nothing. And it does not look like 15 or more cm in 12 hours or less is imminent or occurring. It's a crap shoot possibility at this point. They don't issue warnings for those.

Only way we get a headline out of this is after 2-3 hours of +SN it becomes apparent that the criteria will be met. Dont expect a WSW anytime before that.

A widespread snowsquall or blowing snow warning seems to often fill the criteria gaps in the last few years

And for that matter they will probably get bashed for alerting the public too late and give some excuse out of the air, when clearly its their mishap for only using ONE model for their forecasts which is ridiculous.

Looks impressive on the radar, quite the beauty, haha

EC criteria to issue a watch or a warning is stupid IMHO. Honestly people are going to think that this storm is no big deal and take it like nothing. They should do what the NWS does and issue Winter weather advisories.

Can't imagine that'll last too long. With the transfer to the coast in progress, everything in MI should gradually collapse to the S/E.

Certainly hope so.... never thought I would get dryslotted being an entire state away from the actual low. It is what it is I guess... at least the winds are keeping things interesting for now.
