Was that the storm that kept trending north the day or two before the storm? Or was that towards the end of January? I remember getting about 6 or 7" of really light powdery stuff from the storm.

You are thinking of the "cold snow" storm that is often forgotten due to the twin blizzards that came shortly after. We hadn't had any snow of note in January after the December HECS and so everyone was glued to the models. We watched this one for what seemed like weeks. ORH_wxman spent a lot of time in our forum before that one telling us to ignore the models and that it was coming north. He really nailed it from way out.
