dryslot
Gonna be a nice run overall though. Yes, Low develops right over the outer cape, Throws snow back NW into here..
ORH_wxman
Eh, Euro is kind of ugly...its close to being something decent, but it amplifies the shortwave a little early...there's so many vortmaxes that it will be tough for the models to resolve them until we are closer in. But verbatim this run doesn't have much...maybe some light rain and possibly a touch of light snow..esp at the end for the interior.
Tropopause_Fold
Nice snow event for interior areas saturday could very well end up that way...but not on this run
Baroclinic Zone
12z runs today have sucked for anything meaningful for NYE. If we had some blocking this system would blow up.
Tropopause_Fold
that system is followed immediately by WAA. it actually gets warmer aloft over the course of sat eve

Damage In Tolland
I'm of the assumption the NYE event morphs into a decent 2-4 inch type snowfall. Maybe it starts as rain or something...but I think that is the one initially to watch
Logan11
Considering how everything trends northwest this year .... hope may be fading for this weekend clipper eh.... And I guess I should be glad the big storm modeled for next week is offshore now...could end up near ALB. Todays's "not really a Miller B" ...has trended west till the last minute. So much so that now the heaviest snow is actually northwest of Montreal. LOL, I just caught a peek at the snowfall map.

Damage In Tolland
CMON Kevin we all know you want to weenie out after seeing the euro.. just get it over with. You weenie over models.that show no snow but then when it shows a monster storm you're tamed? I don't get your weeniesm.. its quite strange actually Just let it out! It feels great! My turn.. holy fook at the Euro!!!!! First time I've been excited since 10/29 Next weeks storm will turn into a much lesser deal than what is being tossed around today. We'll get snow..but it won't be a monster. I still can't believe folks other than Will, me and Tip are not getting somewhat excited for a few inches of snow NYE. Damage In Tolland
BigJoeBastardi Joe Bastardi BTW the Friday-Saturday clipper from the n plains to northeast comes first and will have snows north of I-70. Euro will win that one too

ORH_wxman
The NYE event still has a lot of uncertainty to it. But the upside and downside is fairly small on each end. Upside is a nice little advisory event and the downside is just some mild 40s and showers.
Mr. Windcredible!
BS you will check every run. Stop the denial, you have the sickness. That's the first step. LOL This. Anyone who is downplaying their interest in the 180 hr Euro is a fooking liar. If you've seen the 180 hr Euro and you're on this board...hate to break it to you...you're already emotionally invested whether you care to admit it or not! ORH_wxman
Bazooka at your head..which way does it go? Probably something in between...maybe some rain or rain and snow mixed ending as snow in the interior with a sloppy inch or two if lucky. I'd like to see more robust solutions to hit the advisory scenario harder.
CoastalWx
Nice ..sounds advisory like Could be. Still kind of a fluid situation, but I think the trend is for something in that area of the BM or inside.
