Looks like a decent shot of locally strong storms in parts of new england for the 4th...especially in Maine. Could be an area of 2500 to 3000 joules SBCAPE away from the immediate coast as long as we break out.

It looks like everywhere, except just east of RI stands a decent shot.

Kevin, the Whites are calling you..lol.

What an amazing time up there.

Glad to hear you had a good time. I'm still in FMH. Just an awesome weekend here too. The wx has been ideal.. hot and sunny..and we added some nice humidity yesterday. Yesterday the sun was out mot of the day..though veiled at times.

Headed to NH Aug 6th...can't wait

Have you ever hiked The Basin? I thought of you as we hiked it. I think the kids could do it as well..at least halfway anyways. A nice hike with lots of waterfalls.

don't forget to stock up on fireworks and preferably made in the USA, of course . lol

SNE will see a few showers and storms today. GFS and NAM both with measurable 12z-00z ... infact all of the major models have measurable. not widespread, but at least a few showers and storms in SNE.

We haven't done that one. We did Kasaerge (Spelling?) last year and the yr before Black Rock..

Where is the Basin near?

Franconia notch off of 93. About 5 miles north of the exit for Loon Mtn/Lincoln NH. We took the Kancamangus over to Lincoln and stopped at Subway to grab a couple of subs to eat on our hike. It's about a 1.1 mile hike and a 850' rise that follows a stream with lots of waterfalls and carved out pools in the granite. It was really neat. Lots of areas to chill and have lunch too.

We took Rt 302 back which is beautiful. Another waterfall that's supposed to be awesome is off of 302.

Where do you stay? We had dinner one night in Jackson at the Wentworth Inn.

The hot as a firecracker forecast right on the money AWT with highs near 90 today. A couple storms in NNE..but SNE misses out

What are you smoking? lol Your forecast of blistering heat was an unmitigated failure. We didn't get out of the 60's yesterday. If we hit 80 today it will be the first time in a month. Big if. Give it up Blizz.

We stay at the Lodge in Jackson Village. Right by that golf course which you can see from the Wentworth. Really nice area..and would be prime spot o live.

Just because your one little glen didn't get out of the 60's doesn't mean the rest of SNE was mild like that. many areas the next 3 days will approach 90 and you will certainly hit 80

AWT today...hot, humid and sunny with no storms

653 AM UPDATE...

MOSTLY MID AND HIGH CLOUDS ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING ALONG

WITH SOME PATCHY LOW CLOUDS AND FOG. HOWEVER STRONG JULY SUN WILL

EVENTUALLY WIN OUT WITH PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES BY LATE

MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON. SURFACE COLD FRONT REMAINS WELL TO

THE WEST ACROSS CENTRAL NY AND PA. AHEAD OF THE FRONT QUITE MUGGY

CONDITIONS WITH SFC DEW PTS IN THE MID 60S THIS MORNING ACROSS

SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND. A CLOSER REVIEW OF TSTM POTENTIAL TODAY

INDICATES DRY AIR ALOFT MAY BE TOO DEEP TO SUPPORT CONVECTION.

THIS WILL LIKELY PROVIDE A CONVECTIVE CAP AND SHOULD LIMIT

COVERAGE OF TSTMS TO ISOLATED. HENCE MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN

DRY TODAY. WILL LEAVE FORECAST AS IS AND LET NEXT SHIFT MONITOR

HOURLY TRENDS FOR ANY FORECAST CHANGES
