One thing I can say about the severe round of storms is it got noticably warmer just before they arrived.

It was still a bit coolish outside from the storms earlier for most of the time due to outflow effects.

Glad to see you got in on that storm. Looked impressive as it passed to my south. Almost pitch black and had a nice lightning show.

I use NWS and the only part of Env Canada I utilize is the Exeter radar to follow severe weather in this area. Their forecasting and the accuracy and timeliness of severe weather info, is in my opinion, sketchy at best. Scary to think about actually.

I wonder what possesses them to slap up supers-sized blanket severe thunderstorm warnings on every little rain cell. The line has 25dbz on the north end in southern Bruce County and yet EC is calling for 65mph winds up there.

Anyway, it's looking pretty decent coming onshore Huron County but not even remotely close to looking severe. Last night a small cell plowed through KW with 65dbz, hurricane like winds, and small hail and no warning was issued.

I was working near Orchard Lake RD/10 Mile Rd seen several rounds of Heavy Rain/Wind pretty cool.

The coolest part today was seeing 20+commercial planes fly right over us (landscaping work today) and around the severe storms which have been to the south and the edge of the cloud deck has been over us all day.

Nasty line of storms just headed through Louisville. Apparently it has weakened as it headed toward me. That seems to happen alot. Something about the topography of Frankfort...

Actually, I'm having my power flicker... and the storms aren't even to Frankfort yet (I live on the east side).

Helicities increasing rapidly across much of central OK with the intensification of the low-level jet. Tornado threat associated with cells should increase substantially as well over the next couple hours...couplets already appear to be tightening up.
