usedtobe
lol at the GFS...now snow on Monday/Tuesday It sure doesn't have much upper support at 132hrs for what is going on as the main shortwave is still way west.

TUweathermanDD
All this high pressure and none where we need it to be go in your hole, the run is decent. Upper levels are meh, but still its okay for this time frame. If you're asking for any more than that, you're outta luck in a winter like this. mdsnowlover
wait till 0z and see where this is. Wanna bet its farther west. gfs behid the curve??
Ji
Wait, I just saw the 162 panel. Why is this BAD? What was Midlo/Ji talking about?? The vort position implies a more westerly track. We need the vort to track like it did last week for our mecs
Bob Chill
Why would anyone complain about this run? Not jumping on board and saying its likely but heck, keeps things interesting. 500 vort to the south? Where did that come from? SLP over GA/SC @ 156? Can't complain there either. Midlo Snow Maker
gfs cold bias -27c over wva at hr
kurtstack
I'd take this run at this point. I don't believe we've seen a low that strong in the southeast this year. So the models may be overamping it at this point. A slightly weaker system gets us all in the ballgame.
Ji
We better hug this storm like kocin hugs Gary gray cause this is probably the last storm we track this winter
mdsnowlover
We better hug this storm like kocin hugs Gary gray cause this is probably the last storm we track this winter this may be a very accurrate statement, at least until we get a -nao, Is gfs late to the party considering the ec?? MD Snow
what's the actual pressure on the 18z gfs when it hits the canadian maritimes? Is it sub 940? woah....it's a long way off and in all likelyhood based on this winter this baby will probably come west but this could be one of the biggest storms of the year for all of us.
