josh's everywhere with eyes to see them

My colleague Josh Weiss wrote an exceptional discussion for the major winter storm portion. I took care of the other parts of the CONUS today. Lucky me...lol.

I do not live in lake Orion anymore. I have my own numbers. I moved to the Stoney creek area on the border of Shelby and Washington. I used macomb because that’s the town Steve lives near of. We have a “snow measuring club of some sorts” that keeps track. Josh is in this club. lol

What in the world are you talking about? Sometimes I just think you just talk just to talk. you even know what you’re talking about? The answer is no. If you want stats we actually keep track in all different communities in Southeast Michigan. Me and Josh keep track. The most snow is north west of the city towards Oxford. The least amount of snow is either far east towards Algonac or way south towards Monroe.

Fall/Winter '24 Banter and Complaints Go Here
Stevo6899 replied to IWXwx's topic in Lakes/Ohio Valley
Josh, where we at with snow totals so far compared to the last 5 winters. Obviously we've had slow starts recently but I feel like this winter is the most zzzz. Obviously 2019 was a good start. Looking like we're gonna go into the new year with like 3 inches? -
I get it. There's that part of me that thinks this will be just like any other time but here's the thing and this isn't just me saying it. This is Joel Klatt saying it. This is Josh Pate saying it. This is most of the talking heads in the country saying it. Penn State almost *never* loses games they're supposed to win. The only teams that beat them are teams that are just better. Ohio State this year was picked by almost everyone to win the CFP. Oregon was picked by almost everyone to be a playoff team. Michigan last year was picked by almost everyone to get to the playoffs. The only other times they lose are to SEC teams in bowl games where PSU has a lot of opt-outs. Aside from that, they almost always win. And even this year, both of those losses were winnable. Allar makes a better read before that last interception against Oregon and maybe we're not even having this conversation. Kotelnicki doesn't try to get cute against Ohio State and they probably win that game. The losses this year have been closer and different. Because of that, and the way this team didn't fold against USC, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, that makes me believe it's going to take a lot to get past this team. And Southern Methodist ain't it.

You're better off just ignoring it. If you engage, Josh will turd polish you into submission until you tap out. Lions could use him on the defense. -

Omg Josh! That’s a true definition of putting lipstick on a piece of turd! -
Josh Allen is a stud.
-
I'm gonna start calling you the purple crumudgeon, lol No backup would ever be able to replace Lamar. And Josh Johnson is a veteran who can manage a game--and having Derrick Henry that's all you'd need for a game, imo
-
If he ever gets a concussion or something and can't come back in a game, the Ravens are in trouble. Hard to believe they couldn't find a better backup than Josh Johnson.

If an Ohio lawmaker gets his way, teams attempting to plant their flags in the middle of Ohio Stadium during Ohio State games will be dealing with more than just pepper spray. Ohio state Rep. Josh Williams introduced a bill Tuesday that would classify flag-planting at Ohio Stadium around Buckeyes football games as a felony. The O.H.I.O. Sportsmanship Act, authored by Williams, comes in response to Michigan's attempt to plant its flag after a Nov. 30 win at Ohio State, which set off a brawl between the teams. Police had to employ pepper spray to separate players and other team personnel. Ohio State University police are investigating the incident, which involved multiple law enforcement agencies and resulted in an injury to an officer. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/42913316/flag-planting-ohio-state-felony-proposed-law

Central PA Winter 2024/2025

I made a gaffe and kept Allen as my fantasy QB when I wanted to insert Tua...Tua might still get more points but that was a special play for #17. I'm watching with my Allen jersey on...yes, I'm a Steelers fan who is also a huge fan of Josh Allen. -
Uh...yes, he is. Particularly this year: Did he not lead this team back both times against Cincinnati? And you can argue a toe away from beating KC. He is playing better than Mahomes statisticaly this year, and he beat Josh Allen in primetime (literal bright lights). So he is absolutely up there with them overall. Now...as far as playoffs? Yes he's gonna have to wear that criticism until he gets over that hump--the same way Peyton Manning had to before the 2006 season.

Central PA Autumn 2024

I wish I knew. But I agree with you that the GM needs to go and probably a few more in the front office as well. I also wish Josh Harris would sell and a new owner would come in that you know, actually cares about Philly. Instead we have a clown that spends his time in DC at his Commanders games. -
Hey Josh @michsnowfreak, Do you know what is the sunniest fall (% clear)? You are much better at stats than I around here! We have got to be close if not in the lead!! This September and August combo so far has been incredible.

I wonder where Hurricane Josh has set himself up. He hasn't updated on twitter in a while.

Helene's vortex was closed. The western eyewall was clearly weaker with broken convection and rapid rate of forward motion; however, Helene's eye was clear and warm. I do not doubt the in situ recon data that supported Category 4 intensity. The issues here are 1) A lopsided major hurricane at landfall; 2) The peak winds were localized to the eastern and southeastern quadrants based on storm motion and recon; 3) The storm chasers settled on Perry based on best guess to sample the center of eye. I believe Josh was just west of Perry. But this location would have been missed by Helene's worst winds that were off to the east and southeast. There's not much else to do here but speculate since the location was within a marshland reserve and forested area.

Josh said *in his opinion* the eyewall of cat 1 Krathon was more severe than the eyewall of cat 4 Helene
