    He is definitely in a better spot--at the very least he'll see some stronger storms before they hit Death Valley this season. That said, it's early, and I don't expect much today here. Around here my goal usually is to just get positioned well enough to get good lightning shots. Those have been hard to come by, but every so often I get a good one.

    Now that the self-imposed exile is over, I can post. Never even got close to opening this thread after that post. Heisy--I knew what was coming lol. George--I enjoy tracking storms. I have no interest in chasing ghosts. It was a bad winter here. It happens. Better luck next year.

    It’s the worst winter I’ve ever experienced. Not even close. It’d be hard to do worse. Truly unparalleled in the lack of snow relative to climo, spectacularly failed potential, and utter stupidity. The only thing that gets it on the board are two very impressive brief arctic outbreaks. Literally this winter in a nutshell. A real photo I took in my town a few days ago. F (25/100)

    High res NAM wasn’t too impressive either. It’s kinda early for good severe here, so we’ll see what kind of instability we can get today.

    I am rooting for warm wx now that it’s spring, but much like the “winter” we just had you can’t always get what you want. Seasonable works.

    Big warmth would be nice, but it’s always good to keep expectations in check. Seasonable is ~60 here by April 15. That & some sunny stretches are more than good enough for me.

    Excellent. This would be my second summer/fall here. I had to completely redo the front last August. It was all weeds. Still feel like I have a long way to go.

    What an unbelievable run. Absolute domination. I was in shock. They were flooring it from the moment the ball was inbounded in the second half.

    The one and only time I ever went skiing I was in college. Learned the basics and stayed on beginner paths, but one run I picked up too much speed and couldn’t slow down. At the end of the path was a little “cliff”, like a 5-10 ft drop and I knew that I either halted my momentum or I was going down really ugly. Ended up hitting a tree. I was fine, but that was the end of skiing for me.
