Lots of weather disruptions happening at LGA, nothing happening there though. A diversion to ISP from Chicago just flew over me.

2009 was absolutely ghastly, at least it’s been sunny (and dry). 75 today. I was expecting cloudy skies but the sun’s been out all day.

Hazy in Melville, still smells, looking south towards Farmingdale the sky is brown.

The sun is now gone in Farmingdale, the wind is making it feel like a haboob. I feel like I have sunglasses on. I can hear the planes at FRG but I can’t see them and don’t know if they’re taking off or landing. Surreal.

This is the most entertainment we’ve had since the late Dec cold front.

Orange tint on everything although the sky isn’t yet as extreme as some photos I’ve seen from upstate. Sun still visible but obscured with a UV Index of 4. Temp is 73, I think we’ll see mid 70’s at best today.

Indoor air quality has deteriorated over the past few hours, I have an air purifier with a wildfire filter (for cooking smoke) and it’s barely keeping up. The sky is brown now, looks very ominous.

Nothing here except the occasional distant rumble of thunder. Smells like highway fumes outside.

High of 91 here, currently 82. 87 yesterday. Saw some respectable anvils in the distance over CT/MA a couple of hours ago, looks like crap now.

I see the smoke to my east, looks like a blindingly bright white sheet underneath the sun. Temp 59, low was 46. Loving this weeks-long stretch of SoCal weather.

Sneaky 90 today. Dipped down to 84 now with some cloud cover. Bone dry, my lavender (of all things) was wilting this morning.

I wonder what’s going with OKX. Down since this morning. Topped out at 55 after it cleared out for a bit a short while ago. No measurable rain, just a few occasional drops earlier. Garbage.
