  1. Past hour
  2. And a nice little inland runner snowstorm where that chinook influenced SER has been forecast to pop. See, I really don't see the warm-up as a phase 6 SER. It is more like a chinook getting pumped by feedback over the NW. Get those lows moving more progressively, and the chinook dissipates as they pass to the east.
  3. My sister has been going nuts the whole 4th quarter lol
  4. We have below zero wind chills in the middle of the warm-up. If that is the warm-up, I would sure hate to see what a cold snap would look like in January w/ that cold air mass parked in Canada.
  5. Saw ya'lls reports and was skeptical for here given the radar is green over the city and looked out front and flakes! Temp is currently 37 with dp 28.
  6. And as we see the feedback over the NW resolved....modeling begins to look like an MJO on the left side of the plot. Those constant spinning vortices are replaced by more reasonable solutions. That allows multiple cold fronts to march eastward. I don't think it will be wall-to-wall cold like the first 15 days of December, but we could end with a back and forth pattern which is more amplified.
  7. It’s. A. Joke. But…even in a mild January and February it can still snow…honestly probably better chances.
  8. Yep first flakes and no rain here near washington crossing
  9. Cloudy first flakes a few flurries at the moment 36f dewpoint 25f so I guess zero rain here let the games begin! Looks like though dry air punching in from the southwest so these flakes are just temporary as everything is pulling off to the northeast. Drove up from Delaware along Route 202 to Pyle Road to Foulk Road saw the first flakes along that route as well and continued till I go home in Media.
  10. RIP to the southern standing wave on the 18z GFS. We hardly every knew ye.
  11. My bad, I said Golf Matthew. Sorry man, I'd forgot which one asked. You're welcome !
  12. Here is an article about atmospheric river events. During the 2022-2-2023 La Nina, California experienced nine atmospheric river events. Mammoth got absolutely buried with snow. I thought for sure ARs were Nino driven, but new research suggests it actually has less connection than I thought. An atmospheric river event can actually overwhelm either ENSO signal regardless. https://scripps.ucsd.edu/news/atmospheric-rivers-explain-atypical-el-nino-and-la-nina-years
  13. No bread, milk or eggs but I hit the liquor store pretty hard .
  14. Temp down to 40F on the beach in Point Pleasant, NJ. Light breeze out of the W. Overcast.
  15. Here was our final call fx from earlier this morning. If anyone has any reports after the event is finished and would like them included in the map let me know by pm or tag. thanks
  16. It's all over the news. Active shooter. Multiple people shot at Brown University. Have all the students in a lockdown stay in place deal. They just understand all this craziness.. I'm praying for all of them
