  1. Past hour
  2. Officially a car topper of very slushy snow. Rooftops and mulch giving in too.
  3. Wonder what the speed of an 8" stone would fall at? I remember reading that baseballs fall at well over 100mph so can't imagine what the 6-8" mph would be.
  4. Not expecting this one to be as bad as the last one on Feb 18th, but it will be a decent hit. Cirrus is slowing moving in this morning with light winds off the Lake. It will hit hard, and fast.
  5. Not enough intensity up that way. I noticed it on the drive to work...the precip is heavier south of Rt. 30 and it's been just enough to flip it over from time to time. Pouring snow down in parts of Maryland and Virginia under the most intense bands.
  6. Sleet and snow mixing in Eden now. lol I see my neighbor beat me to it
  7. Temp rose to 34 after it stopped. Hoping that band holds over DCA!
  8. Germantown didn't take long at all to become a winter wonderland. Couple pics from the lunch time Jebby. 12:10: 12:30:
  9. Drove back to Arlington and all I can say is….wow, dumping.
  10. Can't believe its accumuting. Cars and grass are turning white.
  11. Sleet mixing in with rain here in Moseley/Magnolia green area 23120
  12. The kitchen sink of p-types being thrown at my yard. No hail tho.
  13. Heavyish snow and 32° here in 20905. North- facing driveway across the street starting to cave at the concrete seems.
  14. Enjoy the snow while it lasts, wind is picking up out of the nw here.
  15. Not sure if Etown has seen a flake yet. Well there is one here everyday but I do not count. Crazy how just W and S of here is getting in on it, and nada here...so far.
  16. That band on radar looks legit. Hopefully it tanks temperatures on 95 at least enough to get some wild snow tv
  17. Stopped here. 0.3”. 33. Places to the SE of me will get more.
  18. Well since you didn't ask for it...my opinion surrounding this kind of data is that it's problematic using a human scale of time that's approximately three generations-ish, cast onto a planetary system that has a seeming complete disregard for that human scale of time. Depending on what someone's personal beliefs systems are, the planet is pretty old. I subscribe to the fact that it's exceedingly old - millennia+. Viewing planetary data on a time scale so small is seemingly akin to analyzing a single heartbeat over a lifetime to determine the health of someone. It doesn't change the data but I believe it should be considered in the analysis of the data. You had a post over the past week or so mentioning the need to incorporate recent data into analysis without letting that recent data bias that same analysis which makes total sense to me. I believe we're viewing data that belongs on such an astronomically long time scale that even data sets incorporating 10's of thousands or millions of years may still be considered "recent".
