Congrats Orlando by verification ? That’s actually one of the snowiest storms I’ve ever seen modeled, it has 65-75” around Pittsburgh 40-50” 10:1 from that one storm .. Huge swath of 15-30” probably 1,000 miles

Takes a lot less to close than it did 20 years ago.

Sad thing is this would be our biggest snow of the season so far.

Could you imagine getting 28" and feeling screwed because 30 miles away got 4 feet? That one's a keeper though for parts of IL, IN, and OH. Can't recall a model run spit out something like that with one system.

The thing I like better about the post 1/22 timeframe is there's much easier ways to score vs playing the fickle game of hoping a vort rounds the trough at just the right time. With solid blocking developing and a decent Pacific, you shove the PV into Southeast Canada but also roll it on its side so it acts as an area of confluence and locks in deep cold across the northern tier. Essentially, it's a great overrunning signal. The ensembles have actually been enthused for that period.
