  3. I had no rain during the daytime, but I’ve had light rain falling the last couple of hours along with some mainly CTC lightning/rumbling thunder. Total rainfall for today has been only ~0.05”.
  4. All this rain we've had over the last 6 weeks or so and the UFO landing pa... I mean Pixie rings are every where, and I mean everywhere. More than one would usually see around here. If I start hearing crickets chirping Irish jigs I'm gonna start drinking again lol

  6. I drove through Monterey a few days later. Amazing to see acres upon acres of trees snapped like matchsticks about 15' off the ground.
  7. As I understand the AI models, they do initialize with the same data as the physical models....radiosonde, satellite, etc. So they aren't completely "anti-physics". The AI models already seem to be ahead of the physical models in many respects, although in my entirely empirical observation, the physics models are still better within a few days. A blend is indicated now, but I agree, quantum computing will change everything.
  8. Dear Lord of Heaven!! Cream cheese factory in high dews. UFFDA!! Not only does she take up 2 seats in the theatre, but she can't feel the armrest in the middle. Don't want to know where the armrest ends up either!
  9. I counted 12 dead ash trees in my neighbor's yard, tall trees too. One fell a week ago and missed his house by a few feet, it broke off 10 feet from the bottom. Lots of great firewood though.
  10. I forgot how different he looked back in those days.

  14. This is referring to some of the remnants of Invest 93L coming over the Gulf again: Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 PM EDT Tue Jul 22 2025 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America: North-Central Gulf: A trough of low pressure on the southern end of a frontal boundary is currently located just offshore of the Southeastern U.S. coast. Over the next few days, this system is forecast to move west-southwestward into the north-central portion of the Gulf, where environmental conditions could allow for some slow development if the system remains far enough offshore. By this weekend, the system is likely to move inland, ending its chances for development. Regardless of formation, heavy rainfall could be possible for portions of the northern Gulf coast through this weekend. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent. $$ Forecaster Papin
