Glad to see March reinforcing its position as the absolute worst.

I am fortunate that I can clear my panels really easy by just standing on my deck with a broom on an extension pole. Most of the time I just clear the bottom 2 feet and it melts or slides off. Took me quite a bit more work though in that big storm but I remove the snow regardless as I dont want ice dams. I definitely wouldnt be climbing up on a ladder or anything crazy like that to clear it. If I had a ton of land I would do a ground mount in New England. Production is really starting to ramp up with that increasing sun angle. Here is the production from my small 1.2 kwh system that really shows the increase well.

I'm beginning to think that we don't get out of the low 40's today either. Some warm up. Seeing that map absolutely maddens me. I really should have stayed out west and let the chips fall where they might with my wife and marriage. I'm so climate driven, that this has really had an effect on my overall physical health. I haven't felt well since Christmas. -
It’s incredible how many times the more densely populated areas in the coastal plain narrowly dodge this bullet. It’s like at least a few times a season. We’re gonna get nailed one of these years very soon.

I’m out naked and shaking it

Agreed, and it's usually really good on this, but it can sometimes stay too cool if a bit of sun can break through on the cool side of the front. Regardless, it really looks like those of us on the east side of the river will get our max temp today at 11:59pm. Tomorrow could get sneaky warm ahead of the weak front sagging southward. The exact timing of the front is in question, which greatly affects the potential to get warm, but southern MD probably has the best chance of getting to the 70s.

i think they were bigger than most realize; that sleet infusion in the first storm was rather unusual and with the cold temps that followed, we were digging or for weeks; just when you started to see real erosion, here comes the 15-20 inches and more to replenish the pack; of course we knew the second one would not stick around, but what an odd winter; a month or so of nothing followed by a genuine ku...and it wasn't 3 feet so yawn....lol. it was 3 feet in providence though....my arms are still recovering and that's no joke i have fibromyalgia, have had it for 30 years; i do not recover quickly from that kind of shoveling....

For the past few days, NAM has shown DC N&E staying on the colder side of the front today, at least until evening. 12z 3k NAM seems to suggest that the boundary stays even a bit further S&W for most of the day. We’ll see. But it’s done pretty well this week and is typically good with these setups.

We'll have 5 months straight of endless sunshine and heat soon enough. Appreciate the clouds while we have them.

The teleconnection phase state NAO, PNA are completely different than this time last year. I know that’s with the caveat that the teles have less influence on the Synoptics this time of year but it’s an influence and a warm one for a change… Away from the immediate coast I still think we can see a really nice March and April relative to climo and especially relative to recent years past.
-
Yup. I get them every spring lol.

January 2003 wasn't dead, it was just north of you. It was great above the pike/outside of 128 and especially 495.
-
Doesn't get much better. 2 MECS's a month apart-can't beat it. Ready for some warmth now and to get rid of this dirty nasty snow that's left.

Not a good look but fits the pattern and seasonal trend. Can already see how the LSV gets jumped on that map. Late developing Miller B. -
Skiing at Wachusett. Significantly icing on the trees up top. Was going down Ropers Road and lots of small and medium cranked down. We actually saw a big one fall a little off the trail.

That 4" amount in Andover is a product of shrooms.

I am. It's been an ongoing concern for months. That's kind of a strange comment to make when some areas of the LSV are already in a moderate to severe drought. -
It's good we got our soaker yesterday morning, because we did not get a drop from the cold front passage.
-
But as a famous poster once said, we just don’t know.

Battle of two seasons. . -
It is a period we have highlighted ad nauseam however. To show what might be up for the offering seems like fair game. It’s just a peak into a window of possibility and is obviously subject to change.
