Meh. I’m not particularly enthused. The 11th threat is gone, looks too warm now. And we all know the 2-3 days of snow Euro has next weekend won’t happen like that. Looks a bit warm for that threat. After that, we have our moderation period. So cold but most of it’s gone to waste. Hopefully there’s another window towards end of month. But we haven’t had late February snow since 2021. Been so long for march snow as well. I’m not impressed

Please note the snowfall period for the contest is Saturday to Tuesday, so any snow falling this evening will not count towards your forecast total. Current location of the cold front is approaching northern Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, temps below zero in northeastern ON and around 23-25F in central ON where winds have not yet turned northerly. The front will accelerate and air masses are mixing rapidly as development shifts offshore. My contest forecast of 0.6" would represent a forecast of 1.0" for overnight snow since some will occur before midnight, but I am thinking of adding a bit, looking at any potential for further snow Monday or Tuesday also (these are in the contest period).

1/7/11 which happened to be a Friday at rush hour

It takes a day to acclimate. Even that might not be enough. My fondest memory (sorry Mom) is Snowmass at 11k in blinding snow. I wanted to make that last leg to the summit but couldn’t find my way to the lift. It was close but you could not see a thing. Jesus that was awesome. Not sure how I made it down.

Doesn't anyone read the thread a little first to avoid making a repetitive post? I mean if there is something new to add then have at it. Between that and the constant fucking snowfall map posts... I'm thinking about making a new thread lol.
