  1. Past hour
  2. Everyone head over to the obs thread as the first flakes are minutes away from New England. Heavy snow during the day just hits different, enjoy everyone.
  3. Wrong. It was exactly like this at this point. It produced 7.5" here with temps in the mid teens. Places to my east had 10". Who cares about total qpf. This storm won't approach those numbers because half of it will be sleet and ice.
  4. About 4" OTG in west Cincinnati. Kind of an odd snow - fine, small flakes, but with a higher water content than I usually associate with small flakes. It's 11F, but the snow is more like that I'd associate with 26-28F. Steady, moderate snow.
  5. Lol that's dirty...he dropped it Green had no say
  6. hi all - any suggested timing(s) strategy for driveway/sidewalk clearing? probably right before changeover.. timing for montco?
  7. I got my wish about halfway through my walk. Heavy snow and beautiful
  8. Snow in Marysville at 5:15 am All surfaces covered. Eyeballing around 2 inches at this time.
  9. lol TWC has me progged for 11", apparently I have 5" and I flip at 16z after ~1.3"/hour rates. I don't know whether the 5" is accurate so I'll go out to measure. Plausible but unlikely?
  10. Normally I'd be out delivering especially on a Saturday night when I usually push it to 7am BUT with all that sleet and ice out there I have been literally reading you guys ALL NIGHT LONG!
  11. If we get 8-10 I kinda want to see the sleet show as long as it’s wild
  12. We're more hoping for NOT something... cold rain would be far better than ice. So far I'm not seeing ice anywhere outside but there are still a few hours to go...
  13. Gotta stay snow until at least 10 but if you have rates I bet you can. If not the sleet should get you to your number
  14. Absolutely beautiful snow at BWI. Can’t wait to make some breakfast and watch the snow and sunrise. It may not be perfect but this is the best snow we’ve had here since 2016. Thanks to all the knowledgeable people who I have been reading every winter since 2009.
  15. 16F Winds east 10 Snow is really going to drift a lot before the switch
  16. I was in panic mode at 2am. That sleet line was moving faster than Darrin Nelson [emoji102]
  17. it is coming down hard in jersey already, good 4 hours ahead of schedule for that intensity.. as I said earlier in the week, these always come in earlier than modeled - 20-30:1 ratios being reported in Mid-Atlantic
  18. Early December 2018 storm was like that here. Richmond got a foot of snow. Williamsburg got 6 inches. I was stuck with 33 and rain.
  19. I know you all won’t do this, but…maybe just look out the window and enjoy it for however long it lasts before the flip rather than peering at the radar and obsessing over when the flip happens? Just a gentle suggestion after reading through the obs thread…because it is absolutely gorgeous out and a legit snowfall is underway in the beltways….
