  5. Will be a dicey situation. Snow should come in between 4-6pm. They should be able to get it. Then again it’s HPN. Small runway, etc.
  6. Sad, but true. Mesos will be really fun starting tonight as they start showing the potential best banding and forcing, someone between the LHV and western CT will likely exceed 10".

  8. Winter storm warning area wide including all long island
  9. NYC is going to get a lot of sleet . This NE push still not caught up on models
  10. Merry Christmas to all.... (More like an Epiphany gag, but by January 6 we'll be too busy tracking a winter storm)
  11. Where is this all coming from? The temperature forecast hasn't budged. Friday night in Harrisburg it gets down to 26-28. The storm was always a clipper and always a 6 hour affair. When did people get the idea that this was some big behemoth of a system? Is it just because we have a winter storm watch so people have preconceived notions of what that means? The one thing is clear is that people need to be off the roads totally Friday evening. Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  12. ALY took em up over an inch since the 1245 update to warning.
  13. WWA just issued for Berks, Lehigh 1-3” snow/sleet. Just run of mill typical mess recently
  14. i think the snow moves in after 7 even in that area. They should be good... safe flight and Merry Christmas
  15. We are creeping towards a possible -NAO/+PNA pattern. It still may not snow, because you just never know here, but that's as good as it gets for the chance of a winter storm here as far as blocking goes.
  16. Merry Torchmas, fellow wx geeks, weenies, and nerds: If you’re still reading , this map isn’t for today. Rather, it’s the forecast map for the very similar Torchmas of 2021, which was then at or near the warmest Christmas on record and was from one of the favored winter analogs that folks have been following, 2021-2. That Dec also featured a strong -PNA that still wasn’t forecasted to turn to a +PNA in Jan even as late as the Boxing Day PNA forecast! It actually went positive on Jan 9th and stayed that way through Feb 15th! In addition to a chilly Jan, GSO and much of NC had a snowy Jan.
  17. Winter Storm Warning for Sussex and Morris. 5-8
  18. Anyone well versed in how flights into HPN get affected on the incoming portion of a snow system? My family is out here in the Chicago area and they're supposed to take off at 2:13pm local and land at 5:26pm EST tomorrow. It's a little tricky with how the snow will be moving in by that time, vs. well underway regarding delays and cancellations. Sent from my SM-S936U using Tapatalk
  19. These northern stream storms or Colarado lows bring light to moderate snowfalls for our area. If the subtropical jet starts getting more active and we start getting some more arctic chill in here it could get far more interesting. I think there's better than a 50% chance that will happen eventually. WX/PT
  20. Hm... Bristol's forecast seems more in line with the Warning criteria, not Advisory, but I guess that's what I get for living on the far western end of Hartford county, the next county over is a Warning, while the bulk of Hartford county isn't predicted to get much. Still, whether it's an Advisory or a Warning, forecasts are often wildly wrong and I'll be happy if we even get 3 inches, to be honest. But if I can get that 6, that'd be great! It is my birthday storm, after all!
  21. Yes, could be a sneaky freezing rain event here. Roads could be icy Friday evening.
