  2. Let’s blow the chicken coops to Gene’s house.
  3. Just had a downpour and pretty good hail here in miller place. Like a nice quick summer storm popped up out of nowhere.
  4. Keep that for AEMATT. I’d like my rain to touch ground and not be horizontal.
  5. There’s some CAPE out there. Some TCU. Let’s get some thunder.
  6. It appears the surface center was pulled a bit northeast by the overnight convection, but the future track has not changed. The 00z and 06z Euro show what will happen if Melissa can stay far enough sw to get caught under the building ridge this weekend. It would likely explode into a spectacular hurricane.
  7. Looks like 0.36” will do it. Let’s get some tropical rain up here
  8. You’re doubling me up with every event, just like winter.
  9. .07” overnight. Not much breeze with the showers but still lost a few gravestones.

  14. This morning's GFS and CMC run say "What Halloween Storm?" While Euro keeps all the heavy activity and Melissa off the coast next weekend.
  15. But the NAO has been negative every October since 2019. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/precip/CWlink/pna/norm.nao.monthly.b5001.current.ascii.table
  16. My rain gauge on my ambient station stopped working. Assuming at least .25 overnight?
  17. 0.4" still raining but letting up. that brings me to 2.5" MTD
  18. Yeah, we get these really juicy long range Euro forecasts which end up verifying lower the closer in time we get. Eventually, one of these long range heavy rainfall forecasts will work out. But it’s already wavering for later in the month. Hard to get excited for anything beyond 120-168 hrs with so much high pressure dominating up in Canada. New run more high pressure suppression Old run was much wetter
  19. 0.05”. Better than nothing as we transition back to dry.
  20. Maybe he's just talking about the low tide smell of hydrogen sulfide gas
