  2. Confirmed tornado hits Madison County according to the survey damage by the NWS. https://wlos.com/news/local/tornado-weather-western-north-carolina-storms-madison-county-ef0-wind-rain-damage-flooding-severe-wnc-warning-national-community-nws-meteorologists-summer-noaa?fbclid=IwdGRjcATYr61leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAwzNTA2ODU1MzE3MjgAAR43g0vdv8HZ29w7O6ZOgNdG7JXG4ev0InBQaVObU2zrxKpC8zD9uDo_LIAPEQ_aem_casHDbmmg0Su4Oc2YZYfdA
  3. Of course! Still, nothing falling from the sky, even though we’re all dead?
  4. Are the “white” places getting nothing this winter?!
  5. Not sure what you're referring to here. Bluewave just made a good post, showing not a 5 degree difference in the July map, but 180 degrees, opposite. Even if we correlate with cooler conditions for a short time, I don't know that it will sustain. LR CPC outlooks are warm.
  6. Need it to move north 600 miles to be 100% accurate.
  7. Camp Yawgoog is right on the RI/CT border. I wasn’t a Boy Scout but I remember my older brother going there in the late 80s/early 90s.
  8. What the hell? Ski area in RI? According to a certain resident, it never snows there. Unless he’s at the Grammy Awards.
  9. Oh absolutely. And feel the same way about the Pacific timing, I agree.
  10. Ultimate Grand Slam on an 0-2 count. Amazing.
  11. High of 90. Dew points in the mid 60's for July is amazing. Feels great in the shade.
  12. Part of this is because these ensembles are not very good at spotting troughs in the summer. They tend to over smooth. I think the N Pac will begin to organize by late August/early September.
  13. 2.75” for this event up to 9.96” for the month
  14. Do you mean El Niño possibly carrying over like 1957-8/1958-9? That’s the closest I could find followed perhaps by 1940-1/1941-2.
  15. Yeah noticed that too, near mid August is the target date to me for maybe something like that to start to show up. AI-ENS on board too and has been. Didn't really look like the standard EPS was as interested as that yesterday. Maybe that idea is starting to gain a little traction.
  16. I think he’s referring to the GLAAM. Nonetheless, I’m sure I’ll wake up to another 10 posts here tomorrow about how it’s 5 degrees in longitude off from some height anomaly map from a century ago so it’s not el niño.
  17. Yeah. Yawgoog is further west. Closer to you? The ski area is closer to URI I think?
  18. The entire decade of the 1980’s was in the last -AMO cycle. It went from the tail end of the 1970’s to the mid-1990’s. The current +AMO cycle took over in 1995
  19. Today
  20. I wouldn't call a little -0.25 area on a 324hr map "El Nino taking over the Hemisphere".
  21. Classic El Niño forcing is taking over the Northern Hemisphere. ++GLAAM
  22. Severe wx warnings never verify here, and every organized storm has a STW these days. I think I've had 43 severe storms warnings since my last severe storm (wind).
  23. N Pac finally waking up to El Niño? This is what you’d expect in the warm season (weak Aleutian Low that slowly deepens).
  24.
