  1. Past hour
  2. When 2-5" in Charlotte is a "conservative" call you know we are about to score big either way. This storm will likely have more snow than the combined 5+ last years for the CLT area. Charlotte normally always sits on some fringe of barely above freezing, a warm nose, or mixed p-type these last several years.
  3. Persons of power, if the storm comes back please don’t pin.
  4. Im not super familiar with the smaller towns in Georgia haha my bad.
  5. Got down to 5 here. Happy our Saturday trip to the city won’t be impacted by snow.
  6. It moved west still some work to do to get to euro but it’s better. I also think there is some feedback issues with it.
  7. 3k NAM looks just like the Euro great for us western NC folks
  8. That’s why every single situation is a little different.,that wasn’t seen back on Monday. So it looked like a straight forward Miller A bomb. Then these appendages started to show up, and it’s lead to this thing missing. If they’re even real? But as of now, they look to be. Whatever, I’m done thinking about it. If it comes back tomorrow…great. If not, get it out of here and on its way to Bermuda. Next.
  9. We had two stretches in the beginning of the month where it was above freezing for 72-ish hours straight. That's enough to offset the BN. Amazingly, the ice managed to survive with no issue. Been two great winters for pond hockey and ice fishing (some will roll their eyes, but you gotta get out and have fun on the cheap sometimes).
  10. Can’t forget Monroe and Winder in that. 1-4” from Winder to Athens and east .
  11. H5 was certainly better vs 6z. That feature is real I think.
  12. Climatology is absolutely in his favor. Charlotte viewing area is often on the fringe of these major snows.
  13. 3K NAM looks just like the Euro, heaviest precip in WNC/SC
  14. If you’re off 316 from Winder to Athens, you’re sitting in a very good spot for 2-4”. Most of these models are already starting to follow the Euro and a western shift looks more likely than not, it’s already starting on a lot of models. Great position to be in! Metro is a lot tougher call and less likely but could still see a dusting to an inch. The Euro is the king for a reason and the most trusted model 48 hours out. Sit back and relax and enjoy, it’s coming for sure! .
  15. Looks like unless things change, we are going to be riding the clipper train over next 2 weeks starting mid next week. Come and ride the train... Some look to be very juicy at this time.
  16. Agreed. It's in his favor to be really conservative on this one. Of course this could totally be us rationalizing and making ourselves feel better
  17. That's going to be there. The question is how far can it slingshot up to affect parts of SNE. Looked in better position based on higher heights and trough orientation. we'll see
  18. 3K NAM is a thing of beauty for us guys!
  19. F that thing. That’s what it latches onto and starts the NE skirt
