Try resizing them on your phone before uploading. Android makes it pretty simple to do, and you can usually get them under 1 MB.

i love the smell of subsidence during a blizzard. This storm will be forgotten by Wednesday. Not even top 100 for me. Congrats again to those receiving their ‘78 storm. I’ll never get to experience one of those. -

Can't even measure with the wind, it is absolutely ripping. By time I finished first round of the driveway I already had 3-4" starting to pile up. This is a weenies dream -
Got you

Not always. 2016 was preceded by 2013-14 and 2014-15, both all time winters. And 2006 was preceded by 2002-03, 2003-04, and 2004-05, all cold and snowy winters. Also, don't forget about 2009-10 and 2010-11. This proves that recently it seems like good winters come in stretches.

Blizzard of 2026 Storm Thread/OBS
Hurricane Agnes replied to Mikeymac5306's topic in Philadelphia Region
For an 8:00 am reading, currently 30 with dp 30 and persistent SN. Finally climbed through the tundra to get to the board (which is on a table) and what was there was taller than the 12" ruler, so got a 2nd one to get 13.5". The Ryan Hall Y'All look-alike snow ruler that I had adjacent to the board, had snow that drifted to almost 17" (I had sprayed it with teflon spray to at least minimize wet snow plastered against it). I did remember that 10 years ago, I bought a 4ft aluminum T-square that I had used to make some replacement dresser drawer bottoms, so dug in the basement to find that and try it. It was difficult to find an "open" place to sink it (my back patio is poured concrete with strips of ground on either side) but both my lilacs are completely bent over onto what open center patio area there was, so readings there would be skewed. Still, it ended up sinking to at least 12" - 13" in multiple spots (and I left it out there). I cleared most of the board (that I could get to) and will see what comes next. Time to buy an old-fashioned wooden yardstick. -
Not to be greedy, but hoping we can get an accumulating snow in March, even if it is just a sloppy inch or two. Not often we can claim accumulating snows in Dec, Jan, Feb and March -- it's like hitting for the cycle.

Same total here but add a few tenths. -
There are a lot of people who wont be able to post here until they post a written apology to the NWS mets.

Not going out to measure so will use my deck eye system. A solid 2” on the table cover that is shielded from wind. Grassy surfaces have some completely covered spots while others you can see vegetation peaking through. No pavement coverage minus the blown snow. As usual due to other areas around Frederick Co., mainly in the mountains and N. Fred Co. FCPSMD is closed. Glad my kids are graduated as these kids will be in school till mid June at this rate or loose spring break days. Still have snow flying here and the winds are just yuck. College kids report is the DC kid has a late start but she has an afternoon class so does not affect her. PA kid woke and promptly texted that her 8:30 is canceled. The excitement was shown in capital letters. All in all, minus the wind as I absolutely dislike wind, any storm I do not have to shovel my driveway is a win. MD weather will never cease to baffle me. Between the topography and smaller size it literally is a grab bag of surprises.

not like that here we never really pounded here...was only ever really moderate with strong winds so everything is just blowing. I'm not even really going to measure because there is no way it would be correct. -

Beautiful dendrites falling even though the sun is trying to peak out. Pretty sure I tacked on a little more since 7. Will measure soon.
