yep Dayville...is on the 18" line...not 12. so you are on the boarder of 12-18/18-24". The maps have increased update after update.

Yeah I raised an eyebrow at that. My measure is not very scientific but snow was easily past the knuckle of my index finger at 7-7:15am lol.

I think if the Culpeper people are reporting mixing back to snow I think we might be in wintry mix mode for the better part of the morning, rate dependent. More like 70/30 sleet/snow now.

Pretty out. While the flakes look tiny when I actually go to the window to look it is snowing pretty decent. Looking at the tops of cars guessing about 5” out there. A lot of it is blowing around. Temp is 12 and the dew point is out of the negatives and currently is 10.6.

It’s weird. I wouldn’t call what we have sleet here in Gaithersburg right now. It’s regular big flakes and then some rimed snow that’s very much accumulating. we are under CCs too.
