  1. Past hour
  2. If it's mediocre why do they need to keep sending out notices about it? I watched some of the Weather Channel coverage from NJ and further south a little while ago and there was nothing but some rain drops and white caps even as one met started talking hysterically about how this weekend would likely bring back "PTSD from Sandy". Seriously?? This has all the makings of an overhyped "event" since there's nothing else to talk about.
  3. Nice cloudy breezy fall day, I like it. Also model tracking this winter is going to be hilarious.

  5. The October rain version of the 80's blizzard in South jersey with several foot drifts and filtered sunshine imby
  6. Winds are pretty tame here in western Suffolk. Maybe gusting to about 25. I’m mid island about 6 miles from the coast, but still expected more by now
  7. I am really concerned about Monmouth / Ocean County beaches and bay flooding. We are seeing the Shark River already over one lane in Belmar (not unusual, and into Neptune Township. just wasn't expecting it this tide cycle) Barnegat Bay is already flooding areas on the eastern mainland shores.
  8. HRRR totals and wind gusts at height of storm. Good soak for RI and SE MA. Winds aren’t too bad. Maybe we can get a similar setup in Jan or Feb with one of these.
  9. Cancelled Skylands Halloween Festival of Lights tonight... smart move. Think we may see iso 45 MPH early Monday. already has a few power outages in the county. Nothing major down the coast on power. Think the bigger PO will be up here LI and NJ coasts overnight.
  10. Do we expect any more rain from this thing today or tomorrow? A shower or two?
  11. You can probably thank all the BS going on since the new administration started.
  12. man that tides coming up fast. Went from minor flooding to now minor/ moderate for 3 pm high tide with moderate the next 2 after that....
  13. In any event should be a shutout for snow because of the enso state. Like 22/23. Dec 22 was seasonable but a shutout for snow for the city because of the nina northerly storm track. The rest of the winter torched as we all know (warmest Jan-Feb on record).
  14. Last BOX AFD was 3AM. Sad sad sad… while this storm is pretty mediocre it’s nice to get professionally prepared info on the storm as it evolves.
  15. Let’s get some solid tree and line damage in CT from this
  16. Son’s travel basketball game in Yorktown Heights just got canceled, was a 2:30pm start. Glad we didn’t leave yet, get to enjoy football games now.
