  1. Past hour
  2. Like I was saying, only a matter of time before the torch reached the northeast. No snow or cold to be seen throuhh early January. We risk a January 2020 and January 2023 repeat imo. Save this
  3. This doesn't remind me of 2022-23 at all. That was a brutal cold shot but it lasted like 5-7 days. We had a solid 3+ weeks of cold/snow in the region this time. And this break isn't necessarily going to last as long as some of these posts imply. I think were fine by the end of the first week of January. And there will be fleeting snow chances before then.
  4. 22/23 was a good time at MSP 3rd snowiest winter on record - 90.3” 9th longest 1” consecutive snow depth streak - 117 days
  5. I would say a quick 0.5” has fallen in the last 20 mins
  6. Yeah it’s not a snow lovers pattern but a couple chances at sneaky front end fun. Back end of run starting to look a bit more wintry. See saw till new year ish anyway.
  7. Send some to your ENE. The wife says it's snowing in Scotchtown so it's close to me.
  8. Just some crazy wind and a quick downpour. Down to 37°. 1.35" for the day so far
  9. 32 w/steady snow falling light coating
  10. Lots of tree debris up here, and smashed branches on local roads. No power in Lafayette, NJ - Mom lost several yard Christmas decorations that went flying in the wind and landed down the street. Power was blinking on and off several times at the work Christmas Party. Fun time of beer, food, flashing lights and torrential rain driving into the windows. Cheers!
  11. Still cant rule out the potential for something towards the end of the month/early Jan with looks like this continuing to pop up on guidance. The wave doesnt dig quite enough this run, but even with a hostile Pacific, a legit NAO block can change the game and give us a shot. Just cant know yet lol.
  12. Anyone know anything about the AI GFS....trying to form a coastal after the NY....(WB 18Z). Too many models...it would be nice if one of them would start to stand out like the EURO used to....
  13. Down to 39 with light rain here. Not expecting much snow here but I could see the higher elevations of NCT grabbing a C-1" type deal.
  14. And mercifully it has ended, Back down to 41°F from a high of 52,°F
  15. Now that sounds like it would of made a good video, Santa on a ufo
  16. Insane winds Bx I went to DeCiccos New City and it started to pour and the Salvation Army guy ran for cover as his tripod and donation bucket went sailing down the pavement ----my son calls me while this is going and and our 20 foot Santa which was not inflated at the time but on the ground is in the neighbors yard and he tells me one of our wreaths was turned into a UFO and that as soon as he retrieves the Santa he will get on the wreath ,,,,,,crazy winds
  17. Your area looks a better shot for showers than most. .
  18. I’m not buying the Euro change to rain on Tuesday . That’s a cold HP. I’d bet that trends colder even due coastal areas
  19. Latest Euro weeklies continue to depict a shift from -WPO/+EPO to a -EPO heading into mid Jan, with a pretty decent NA look. The pattern becomes pretty respectable prior to that. Western US trough not as deep with a flattish PNA ridge developing by the 10th.
  20. HRRR looks almost dead nuts on with current radar
  21. Spent about 20 mintues Figuring which plug kept tripping my breaker earlier. Rain got into one of the plugs lol
  22. Barely a puff of wind as it went through here. Gotta say the wind must've been been pretty strong earlier. Just got home and my grill and outdoor furniture was all blown off the patio. The Adirondack chairs are pretty heavy, so there must've been some solid gusts.
