  1. Past hour
  2. 1.23" of rain today and very excited about that alone. Temp is down to 32.7°.
  3. Moore County has closed school. Work on the other hand...
  4. Latest NAM seems like the cells out ahead are confined to near the bay while HRRR like the general metro areas.
  5. Don’t judge. We are not equipped for extreme weather. I don’t want our kids out on buses in the midst of a tornado warning and high wind.
  6. The only thing I can remember is reading them from the yahoo home page back then. Who wrote them or anything like that I can’t remember. I would try searching for something like “March 2012 Great Lakes climate change” and see what you can find.
  7. According to my sister in Charlotte they have already canceled schools tomorrow down there for the possible storms . What?
  8. Kind of hard to do. You worry about someone slamming you from behind as you pull off.
  9. Except that southeast flow will increase the low-level rotation. In addition, this is a very dynamic system so not as much instability is needed for damaging storms. I do agree that the greatest severe risk is to our west and southwest. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.
  10. Does look a bit more active and possibly wintery in the last 10 days of March. A few chances starting to appear at least, with cold enough air in place
  11. Quite a few closing in Eastern NC as well.
  12. The 18z hrrr has action popping ahead of the main line just as the schools are dismissing early.
  13. As I have noted before, one source of "DC-area" closure warnings (especially on schools) is from WJLA: Closings
  14. appreciate you sharing that. thank you
  15. Rogue cell popped up and a cg just scared the crap out of me and the dogs
  16. We knew last week was the warmest temperatures until Memorial Day.
