  1. Past hour
  2. Yes it still has its superiority there.
  3. Ensembles means of 0.5-0.9 at 5-6 days lead time is pretty darn good.
  4. I personally think the snow/ice mix line is going to be a little further south near the Wake border.
  5. yeah, collectively let's all try our best to bring this one way north.
  6. Man. Watching some live vids of LE in NY right now. They are getting hammered. Heavy snow and 14 degrees. Hopefully a taste of what we will be seeing in a couple of days. Although from completely different synoptics
  7. Well put it this way Delaware in general. Does that work for you. Just like talking about DC or Baltimore or other posters backyards. Maybe all should hee your comment. Better yet just put your mute on my posts.
  8. yk that snow picture where you have everybody's name? if you add my name then the UKMET will happen
  9. Question for the group as life has intervened and I don’t follow the nuance like I used to. Does NAM still have its rep for CAD thermal profiles like it did in the day? If so, it’s going to be a huge piece of the next 72 hours or so to sort out these p-types (at least in between the stereo of 2 posters screaming “Freezing Rain…NORTH!!!” every other post.) .
  10. Your comment is not correct. These photos were taken on January 14th, 1978 at East Northport on Long Island. Heavy rain fell most of the night with below freezing temperatures resulting in this severe ice storm.
  11. I have to admit the abyss part made me laugh. But it is certainly very possible to be fair. Several possibilities remain on the table. But I’ll stick around to find out
  12. It has a 50% chance of IAD & DCA exceeding a foot of snow.
  13. My parents and grandparents live in simpsonville, sc , that would be a disaster down there… hoping it’s wrong and ends up more sleety.
  14. Lots of future @bnchos on the horizon this weekend. ETA Columbus Day
  15. Would like it further off the coast to keep any ice or cold rain away from my neck of the woods. Since it's so far off and we have the current storm system, things should change.
  16. Absolutely, I think the high end is a mecs, but in a Nina day 5 is an eternity. Especially with how poor the models have handled systems this year. Low expectations are key. It’s the best potential we’ve had in many years though.
