That makes sense then.

Going to be close out here in west central Morris County. Glad I'm not any further west. Wish that surface low was more inside the BM but we take what we can get. Coastal and more eastern locations are in good shape.

Snow sticking to even grass or dirt in the city before it turns dark is a good sign for accumulations. .

I will post the PA map. Unfortunately, there is no map that zooms in on SE PA, which is surprising given that Philadelphia is a major city.

My Grandmother lived in Pomona. About 3 miles from Stockton. Spent many Summers down there.

Been snowing pretty steady in Manhattan for 3-4 hours now, roads and surfaces are still mostly clear. Finally starting to see some stickage on the dirt tree root things on the sidewalk. 34th @ 7th

Heavy snow. All surfaces caving (no paved roads around me). Down to 33. -
Days are getting longer, Spring arrives, and with it changes in the pattern. Will Winter maintain a troublesome grip, or will we melt out into Mud Season until November, only time will tell... Looking at the latest ENS for the CMCE, GEFS, and EPS tells that the regime switch is lurking (Canadian ensembles being the warmest), but as with the last couple of years there are outside chances of snow or frozen in the extended. Off topic, just heard from my elderly dad who was diagnosed with flu + strep on Wed and has been miserable. It's been a little scary for me. This morning he crossed the "wanting coffee again" threshold and just now managed to eat something. I'm so glad. Now I can fully weenie out watching whatever this storm is unfold. I don't want to be that annoying sanctimonious person...snow is life, I'm a massive weenie...but it is also just snow. -
