  1. Past hour
  2. Heavy rain and lightning here in New Providence. The first cell wasn't too bad, this one seems a bit more potent
  3. Briefly windy but mostly just heavy rain and lightning
  4. yes CTG ahead of it not raining yet no wind
  5. If 98 was slightly colder…there were several storms that were close. It did snow up here that winter. Not a ton but lots of storms were a mix up here that winter. 5 degrees colder and 2-3 of those big rainstorms would have been snow. That’s what we have to hope for. 98 the pacific trough was just a bit too far east and overwhelming. 66 was the outlier in the other direction.
  6. I'm watching the lightning in the north sky. I agree that the worst of it is gonna miss to the east.
  7. Newark under their 18th severe storm since June . Every front there’s been has been severe there this summer .
  8. thunder way ahead of it here on border middlesex -union heavy rain now entering clark area - no wind here YET
  9. FOOTBALL, FIRE, FOOTBALL, FOOD, FOOTBALL, CHOCOLATE and FOOTBALL season has begun indeed Did I mention it's FOOTBALL season!?!?!?!? I welcome this turning of the season
  10. Lots of close lightning strikes
  11. Yeah very dark to my northwest and thundering as well but it could just miss to the east. At least the worst of it
  12. These storms that drop from north to south tend to have very strong winds. Really a close call whether we're gonna get hit here or misses just to the east.
  13. Fortunately, I stuck to relatively safe lower elevations near the lake.
  14. Looks pretty potent up in the Summit area
  15. .88” so far on the day, after .90” on Sunday night; decent week so far!
  16. I wonder if the Cfs2 winter 23/24 temp forecast from 9/11/23 was discounted? I guarantee you it was...but it would have been by me! Lol https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/CFSv2/cfsv2_fcst_history/202309/htmls/usT2me3Mon.html They're not always climo come September. Cfs2 was actually on the right path come early September, 2023.
  17. We are under a warning now for those storms dropping down from the north. It's gonna be a close call here -- I don't know yet if I'm gonna get hit or it misses just a few miles to the east.
  18. Surprised how meh everything is. Very pulse like variety to these storms, must be the weak lapse rates
  19. Same. Thought something was nearby but when I looked at the radar, nothing was in the area. 84F/DP 77F
