Off topic but how about those Sawx? Durbin with a grand slam and then Duran goes back to back.

It's not my week. Sunday the axis of convection was too far west. Yesterday it was too far east. Today it was back west. Did manage 0.28" in three separate events today so not a total shut out. Things look hit or miss for the rest of the week.

Probably stays pretty cool under the bridge.

2026-2027 Super El Nino
BlizzardWx replied to Stormchaserchuck1's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
I thought this was an interesting plot I saw on X. Any thoughts on how far east actual convection will fire within the ENSO regions? Sure seems like it'll be further east than ever before. I was actually have a hard time getting a straight answer but at least for the Galapagos Island the average is highest at around 77F in Jan-Mar. If it were to maintain a ~5C anomaly that would be 86F. One would think that would be enough. Did that happen in 97? Just trying to contextualize all this. -

Did we break any records today with the 500mb trough over the Arctic? It got down to 5030dm I think. I know at the end of last Aug we set an all time N. Hemisphere record for Aug at something like 4980dm. -
Nice gig ya got going there. Pretty much stress free!!

Funny how the peeps that work without ac aren’t the ones pushing for extreme heat and humidity.

Just had a gully washing storm pop over my area and move NNW. -
If you spend any amount of time outside on a regular basis, you know when dews are high vs low. I don’t need an electronic device to tell me whether it’s bearable outdoors. It’s only a reference for those that hope for unpleasant conditions. I was in Florida for the week after the Fourth, THAT was dewy and hot! Still sat outside all day every day.

Nothing like a company car! No maintenance, comes with a company card for fuel, and when there’s an issue with it… not your problem! Had a company truck for a few years. Beat the hell out of it trying to make deadlines. No way I treat my own vehicle that way to satisfy customers.

Flood watch for the metros seems justified.
