  1. Past hour
  2. My first storm lurking this site was Feb 2013 blizzard. Joined later that year. 19 when I joined and I’ll be 32 in a little over a month. Times flies.
  3. Over-running *clap clap clap-clap-clap* Over-running *clap clap clap-clap-clap*
  4. I shared some thoughts on the setup late next week on X and Bluesky: https://x.com/wxmvpete/status/2011988376480534897
  5. Now I will say...for the laymen here...upper-level maps aren't the easiest to read. I mean with practice I think one can get better, but...that may be part of the reason, lol
  6. icon at end of its run hr 180 Not a Bad look at all!
  7. RGEM isn't on an island, it's on a whole other planet.
  8. 18.3 and blowing. Cold as shit man.
  9. We've been in a -PDO pit for 10 years. That makes La Ninas dominant. LN's kill the southern stream Next year should be wetter. But could be a torch. Pick your poison.
  10. Apparently the 0z GFS has integrated new data. Here's what it is (found from SouthernWX) - Dropsonde data was assimilated from the recon missions in the Pacific.- The entire system is in a good spot currently (as of 00z) for good profiling by GOES-West satellite and Canadian soundings.
  11. 60 million a year I doubt he will opt out
  12. Can't wait for single digits next week then rain a few days later
  13. I dont know why its so hard to get a cold precip bomb nowadays. I long for the long track storms from TX to the east coast with lots of precip, severe weather on the gulf coast, snow, ice, negative tllt, thundersnow. Nope. Just northern stream bullshit. Even last year models were spitting out 4-8 inches of snow here only to dampen out to a measly 2 inches.
  14. yeah I was playing some games with my kids (their winnings from their school's Bingo night lol) and saw it was 1-0, then looked at my phone a few min later and saw 3-1, was like WTF?
  15. I noticed that too. It's 20 degrees at my house and even colder in some other areas nearby, the colder models for Friday night are much closer to the current observed temperatures in the area (NAM, WRF-NSSL, WRF,ARW) compared to the rainier ones (WRF-FV3, RRFS, HRRR), which have Knoxville above 24 degrees at 10-11 PM. I might be grasping at straws but like I said, I'll take any and all false or real hope I can find haha
  16. I seriously hate that team
  17. Two-day lake effect snow total in South Bend was officially 17.1". Total for the winter: 54.5" Another 3.9" will make this the snowiest winter in 9 years. My backyard event total: 14.5" Backyard winter total: 52.7"
  18. this is bullshit - what the fuck is Manfred even doing? Not sustainable.
  19. Fucking Dodgers - damnit.
  20. Not sure you'd want to face that Houston D in bad weather.
